We corrected the issue, and the revised calendar is available in Payments and Financial Reports. The 2017 fiscal calendar published in Payments and Financial Reports recently contained an error. We renamed “Top Content” to “Sales” in Sales and Trends on iTunes Connect. You can now use BISAC Subject Headings, 2016 Edition in iTunes Producer and iTunes Connect. Request and accept the latest terms in Agreements, Tax, and Banking to continue offering your books in these territories. We switched to local currencies for Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Peru, Poland, and Romania. iBooks Tip: Distribute Free Review Codes.We recently added the following updates and reminders to help you manage your books on iBooks: Here is the email sent by the iBooks team to publishers with paid accounts: I didn’t see a lot of coverage for this, and nearly missed it myself, so it might be good to post the notice here for later reference. Find the tools you’ll need to create and submit your books to Apple.Apple earlier this week notified eBook publishers of some of the changes they can expect to see in iTunes Connect, their portal used to submit and manage their books. If you’re planning to sell your books, you’ll need to set up banking and tax information in Agreements, Tax, and Banking. You’ll receive an email when we’re ready to proceed or if we discover any issues. We’ll need a few days to verify your information with the IRS, so be sure to enter your name and tax information as they appear on your tax records. If you want to add the option to sell your books, you’ll need to provide additional details. If you’re offering books for free, read and accept the terms and conditions - then you’re ready to go. Select “View and Agree to Terms.” You’ll need to decide if you want to sell books or offer them to readers for free. In iTunes Connect, go to Agreements, Tax, and Banking. Check your email, click the link, and sign in to iTunes Connect. We’ll email you a link to verify the email address you entered during sign-up.

You can update to a Doing Business As (DBA) name after your account is approved. You must use your legal entity name during sign-up. When you see the choice of Publisher Type, choose Individual if you’re representing yourself or if you’re a sole proprietor, and choose Organization if you’re registered as a company or some other type of organization. Choose your publisher type.Įven if you’re an independent author, you’re a publisher. Then use your Apple ID to sign up for iTunes Connect. Use your existing Apple ID or create a new Apple ID. Authorization to sign documents on behalf of yourself or your company.
